Bryan Fayant, Disaster & Recovery Strategist
Bryan is originally from the Fishing Lake Métis Settlement. He was raised Métis by his Mushoom/grandfather John McLean. He received his Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary, through Blue Quills College and University of Alberta. He spent years in the alcohol and drug field, social services, economic development, the political arena, community development and environmental policymaking.
Today he works as the Wildfire Disaster Strategist, with strong emphasis focusing on Recovery and Emergency Preparedness. Lately he has been called upon by his family and the community to begin taking a more active role as an Elder in training.
